Spain did what they couldn't achieve in Tokyo after 3 years.

In the final of the Paris Olympic Games, Spain, led by Fermín López, defeated France 5:3. The final also required extra time.

In the 11th minute, Enzo Millot put the French team ahead. Soon after, the Spaniards found a stunning response. Barcelona talent Fermín López scored a double, and Alejandro Baena converted a penalty, leaving the French with something to ponder during the break.

In the 79th minute, the French finally narrowed the gap with a goal from Maghnes Akliouche. Before added time, VAR noticed an incident after which the referee had no choice but to award a penalty. Jean-Philippe Mateta was accurate from the spot, extending the match into extra time.

In extra time, France was in a "pole" position, but the goals were scored by Spain. Sergio Camello scored in the 100th minute, and later finished the match in the 121st minute. The goalkeeper Arnau Tenas provided an excellent assist, having saved La Roja's goal several times in this match.

The bronze medal was claimed by Morocco, which crushed Egypt 6:0.
