On Saturday, in the friendly international matches played, Lithuania's opponent in the seventh round of qualification for the 2006 World Cup, the Spanish national team, easily defeated China 3-0.

Led by Luis Aragones, the Spanish team managed to break through the Chinese defense quite easily on the wet field, but, according to experts, they will need more sharpness in the attack if they intend to defeat the leader of Group Seven, the Serbian and Montenegrin national team, in Belgrade on Wednesday.

In the first half, the Spanish team, passing the ball well, scored two goals - in the second minute of the match, the young star Fernando Torres did it, and at the end of the half, Barcelona defender Xavi, who left a mark on Lithuanian goalkeeper Žydrūnas Karčemarskas, forced to make a save in the match in Vilnius.

In the second half, Aragones brought in debutants: 18-year-old Sevilla defender Sergio Ramos, Valencia forward Mista, and Liverpool defender Luis Garcia.

At the beginning of the second half, the best players of the match, Ivan de la Pena and Joaquin, created another goal, which was scored by Joaquin. In the last minute of the match, the Spanish team could have turned the result into a stunning victory, but Luis Garcia's shot hit the crossbar.

Spain's lineup: Iker Casillas; Puyol (Sergio Ramos, 46'), Pablo, Juanito, Del Horno; Albelda (Orbaiz, 46'), De la Pena; Joaquin (Luis García, 54'), Xavi (Valeron, 46'), Luque (Reyes, 46'); Fernando Torres (Mista, 46').
