Xavi claims that the loss of the Spanish national team to England was just a coincidence.
The World champions dominated at London's Wembley stadium, but failed to take their chances and suffered a defeat due to Frank Lampard's only goal.
"On Saturday we were unlucky just like in the 2010 World Cup against Switzerland," Xavi said. "If we played 10 matches against the English, we would win 9 times."
He added: "We controlled the ball and created more opportunities, but we did not capitalize on them. It was just bad luck."
