In Spain, the World Basketball Championship is currently taking place, but for football fans, this celebration is not interesting. Three matches of the second round of the "Primera" championship have been played.
The first match took place at the new "San Mames" stadium, where Bilbao "Athletic" faced Valencia's "Levante". The Basques secured an easy victory at home with a score of 0-3.
In other matches, the champions Madrid "Atletico" also tested their strength. Diego Simeone's team won 2-1 against the league newcomers "Eibar" in the capital.
The goals for the winners were scored by Miranda and Mario Mandžukičius. The opponents reduced the gap in the first half, but they could not extend to an equalizer.
For "Atletico" club, this was their first victory in the championship. In the previous round, the "Rojiblancos" played a draw.
