The coach of the Spanish national team, Vicente del Bosque, has received bad news - experienced defender Carles Puyol will not be able to help his country's team in the European Championship.
The 34-year-old Barcelona veteran suffered an injury after last weekend's La Liga championship match against Espanyol - the Catalan team has already announced that the player will undergo a knee surgery on May 12.
