In the Australian A-League football match, a bizarre incident occurred. During the duel between the Central Coast Mariners and Perth Glory teams, the goalposts were broken, writes lrytas.lt.
In the 10th minute of the match, Perth team player Tomislav Mrcela scored a goal, but the referee did not count it, flagging an offside.
The player, out of inertia, ran into the goal and hung onto the goal net. The net held T. Mrcela's weight, but the goal structure did not.
The match organizers had to quickly solve the situation. Another set of movable goalposts on wheels were brought onto the pitch.
