The best player of last season's English Premier League Riyad Mahrez has put an end to speculations about his future.
Leicester City officially announced that the 25-year-old winger has signed a new four-year contract. This means that the footballer can stay with Leicester until 2020.
All summer long, R. Mahrez has been linked with a move away from Leicester. The Algerian national team star was reportedly targeted by both London's Arsenal and Chelsea. However, the player decided not to try out a new career path and remain in the ranks of the English champions.
In 2014, R. Mahrez, who cost the Leicester City team a few hundred thousand euros, played a crucial role in the historic triumph of the club in the Premier League last season.
During the last season, R. Mahrez played 39 matches, scored 18 goals, and made 10 assists.
