In 2010, the Milan club "Inter", triumphant in the Champions League, has now hit rock bottom in European tournaments.
On Thursday, it became clear that representatives of "Serie A" failed to even overcome the Europa League group stage barrier, as they lost 2-3 to the little-known Beer Sheva's "Hapoel" team.
In 5 matches in group K, the Italians only managed to gather three points, being surpassed not only by the Jews (7 points) but also by Prague's "Sparta" (12 points) and "Southampton" (7 points).
After the shameful away match, where the visitors failed to hold onto a two-goal lead, "Inter" coach Stefano Pioli said:
"We stopped playing as a team and were too self-confident. We can't behave like this if we want to win matches. We had the opportunity to increase the score to 3-0, but we couldn't do it. We are physically ready, we applied pressure at the end of the match - only psychological reasons are to blame. The performance was not worthy of the name 'Inter'," - said the Italian.
