After the scandalous events at the "Sporting" club training base, during which 50 masked men broke into the club's base and used violence against their supported team players, many representatives of the Lisbon team want to leave the team. Today, Rui Patricio announced his departure from the Portuguese club and contract termination, and after this decision, the team president took radical steps to prevent a repeat of this situation.
Last Friday, R. Patricio handed over documents to the club regarding the termination of the contract, and such events did not sit well with team president Bruno de Carvalho, as he had recently rejected an €18 million offer for this player. However, now he is left with nothing, and promised to follow the example of his teammate, many more "Sporting" representatives.
The Portuguese press (CM) reports that the "Sporting" management made an incredible decision to avoid this - the club disconnected all fax machines at the team headquarters, in order to not receive any information from the players' representatives. However, this plan is unlikely to work due to modern technology - it is claimed that this information will simply be submitted to the team via registered email and the club leaders will still have to deal with the players' requests for contract termination.
