"Sporting" team wants to specially honor one of the greatest players of all time Cristiano Ronaldo.
As Lisbon team president Frederico Varandas said, the Portuguese want to give their stadium "Estadio Jose Alvalade" the name of their legendary compatriot.
"We came up with this idea and we are not going to forget it, because we are very proud of this player.
Cristiano is and always will be one of the most well-known symbols of the club. We are proud that our team is associated with Ronaldo - it means that the best player on the planet is mentioned alongside the name of "Sporting".
"We are trying to implement this example among our academy graduates", - said F.Varandas.
