In the early Conference League matches - a victory for "Lille".

The Conference League season started with a 2-0 victory for "Lille" against Ljubljana's "Olimpija" represented by Justas Lasickas.

The Slovenians held on without conceding a goal until almost the end of the first half. Nevertheless, in the 43rd minute, Jonathan David scored from the penalty spot to put the French team ahead.

"Lille" only solidified their lead at the very end of the match. Yusuf Yazici scored a goal in the 90+4th minute.

Justas Lasickas did not get a chance in these matches. He spent the whole game on the bench.

These matches took place a day earlier due to the Rugby World Cup taking place in Lille and France. This decision left "Lille" fans dissatisfied.
