Long-time "Stoke City" coach Tony Pulis, who recently stepped down from this position, will be replaced by strategist Mark Hughes.
The 49-year-old specialist was fired from the "Queens Park Rangers" team last November after just 12 rounds played in the Premier League season.
During his career, the Welshman has coached "Fulham," "Blackburn," and "Manchester City" clubs, as well as the Welsh national team.
"It was a tough time for me at QPR. I made mistakes there, from which I have now learned. My task was to keep the team in the Premier League, but I lost my job after just 12 matches," Hughes lamented.
"It was understandable, although I regret losing the job. If I had been given more time, I think I would have turned everything around in the right direction."
"Throughout my coaching career, I have gained experience from 270 matches, but people judge me based on the results of the last 12 games."
"I have heard what people say about me, so I will use this criticism as motivation to move forward together with the Stoke City club," said the Welshman.
