Stormy night in Paris: PSG fans burned cars, clashes with police ensued © AFP

Paris on Sunday watched the historic UEFA Champions League final, in which the Parisian club "„Saint-Germain“ lost to the Munich "„Bayern“ team and remains without the prestigious club football trophy. While strict rules regarding the coronavirus pandemic are still in place in France, prohibiting mass gatherings, PSG fans waved it off and gathered to watch the Champions League final together. PSG fans reacted particularly painfully to their team's loss and caused a real commotion in Paris. Photos and videos appeared on the internet showing individuals adorned in PSG gear burning and otherwise damaging cars on the street. It is also reported that damage was done to some stores, and there were clashes with police officers. It is reported that after a stormy night, more than 80 people were detained.
