The 27-year-old J. Evans denied his guilt, but the Football Association, after reviewing the video footage, decided that the Irishman is guilty. The „Red Devils“ defender will no longer be able to play in Monday's FA Cup quarterfinal.
The 29-year-old P. Cisse admitted his guilt, but this did not reduce the severity of the punishment.
The incident was reviewed by a committee of three former referees, as the match referee did not witness the players' conflict and did not include it in the match report. The decision is final and cannot be appealed.
