The guests from Madrid celebrated a 3:1 victory, but their leader Cristiano Ronaldo's red card overshadowed the win.
In the 82nd minute, the Portuguese player fell in the "Barcelona" penalty area, and the referee decided that he was simulating and showed him a yellow card. This was already the second warning for C.Ronaldo, who was immediately sent off the field.
However, the celebrity, despite his team's favorable result, could not control his emotions and pushed the referee.
Undoubtedly, this action will not go unnoticed by the federation and C.Ronaldo may face a long-term suspension.
The "Goal" portal recalled the 1998 incident in the Premier League, when Paolo Di Canio had to miss as many as 11 matches for disrespecting the referee. Now such a harsh punishment is unlikely to be imposed, but the Portuguese will have to answer for his behavior.

"As always, I'm not going to discuss the referee's work, but Ronaldo's expulsion upset me.
Maybe there wasn't a penalty, but giving a card for simulation is not an adequate punishment.
We can't change it now, but we will try to make sure Cristiano can play on Wednesday."
