The "Borussia" team from Mönchengladbach confirmed on their "Twitter" account that forward Luuk de Jong has traveled to England.

On Tuesday, the Dutchman will undergo a medical examination at "Newcastle United" club. If everything goes smoothly, the footballer will become a full-fledged member of the team.

The 23-year-old forward lost his place in the "Gladbach" starting lineup and has not played a single match since April.

"Newcastle" tried to sign L. de Jong in 2012, but the battle for the striker was won by Mönchengladbach, who paid 12 million euros.

Within "Borussia", the Dutchman scored 8 goals and made 4 assists in 45 matches.

It is reported that L. de Jong will be loaned out with the option to buy his contract in the summer.
