It is reported that after yesterday's Champions League qualifying matches, Portugal (44 216) climbed one step up in the UEFA coefficients table, pushing France (43 498) down to eighth place. This was mostly due to successful performances by Lisbon's Benfica and their qualification for the group stage of the strongest continental tournament. England (87 926 points) continues to lead the ranking, followed by Spain (80 570), Italy (63 616), and Germany (61 427). Meanwhile, Lithuanian clubs have collected exactly 10,000 points and hold the 33rd place out of 55, while trying to catch up with Belarus (12,500 points).
