One of the most promising young Lithuanian footballers, Paulius Golubickas, suffered a serious injury in the Croatian championship on Saturday. The Lithuanian, representing the "HNK Gorica" club, broke his jaw after a collision with an opponent. P. Golubickas was immediately taken off the field after the incident and transported to the hospital. On Sunday, a successful surgery was performed. According to Mindaugas Nikoličius, the sports director working at the mentioned club, P. Golubickas' rehabilitation will last up to 4 weeks. "The operation went very well, he had four plates inserted. The operation was not easy, but everything went perfectly," Nikoličius clarified the situation to the 15min portal. "In a few days, Paulius will be discharged from the hospital. For four weeks, he will need to follow a specific diet, as he won't be able to eat everything. After four weeks, he will join non-contact training sessions. After six weeks, he will be able to train normally," Nikoličius added.
Wishing Paulius a quick recovery and return to the field 🙏 We are with you! ❤️
