"A lyga" clubs continue their preparation for the new season. Marijampolė, who finished fifth in the previous championship and has been joined by several new players, is not following the example of other clubs in traveling abroad for training camps and is currently training in Lithuania. At the moment, "Sūduva" footballers train twice a day in Marijampolė, and on January 20th they will travel to Palanga, where they will hold a training camp and play a friendly match against Panevėžys "Ekranas". The team will also have some new faces next season. Representing the Suvalkija club will be defenders: 28-year-old Belarusian Andrei Milevski, who wore "Šiauliai" jerseys for part of last season, as well as 32-year-old defender Marius Skinderis, who played in Belarus last season, Gvidas Juška representing "FBK Kaunas" and Brazilian striker Marcelo Spozo. Commenting on one of the most important decisions of last season's player David Čigladze to leave, "Sūduva" club press representative Arūnas Reinikis told Eurofootball.com portal: "Let's say the decision was mutual. The club wanted to extend the contract, but the negotiations were unsuccessful." According to A. Reinikis, another goalkeeper Karolis Jasaitis will remain in Marijampolė, whom, according to Eurofootball.com, Panevėžys and Vilnius would like to invite: "There are no talks of his departure, so he should remain in the team". It is already clear that the 26-year-old goalkeeper Mantas Uselis will not remain in the team, as it was decided not to extend his contract. The player is currently looking for a new club."
