Marijampolė's "Sūduva" team started their performance in the UEFA Europa Conference League tournament. The first match, coached by Victoro Basadre, was played in front of their spectators at the "Hikvision" arena against the "Valmiera" team, and they achieved a victory of 2:1. All goals of the match were scored from the 11 m mark. The first to score in the match was the Sūduva player N. Gorobsovas (27 min.), but R. Krollis equalized the score at 35 min. The decisive goal came at the very end of the match, when A. Gkargkalatzidis scored accurately.
