During winter, the Tunisian player Hamdi Nagguez, who joined Marijampolė's "Sūduva", may not return to Lithuania anytime soon. According to African football portals, the newcomer to "Sūduva" was jailed in his home country. The 27-year-old defender did not follow quarantine rules, insulted an official, and drove a car without a license. It is reported that the well-known footballer in his country will have to spend 4 months behind bars. H. Nagguez's representatives, in turn, claim that they will appeal to the President of Tunisia to mitigate the punishment imposed on the player. Since 2015, H. Nagguez has been called up to the Tunisian national team and has played 22 matches. In 2017, the defender participated in the Africa Cup of Nations tournament, and in 2018 - in the World Cup in Russia. In the latter tournament, the player played two matches and made an assist during the match against the Belgian team.
