On Monday, in the first round of the LFF Cup tournament at Vilnius "Sportimos" arena, Marijampolė's "Sūduva" and Alytus' "Alytis" met in the quarterfinals. "Sūduva" convincingly won with a score of 4-1.

In the duel between the bronze medalists of the "A lyga" and the I Lyga champions, "Sūduva" and "Alytis", Brazilian legionnaire Ottavio Braga put Marijampolė ahead in the 4th minute, doubling the lead in the first half.
Although "Alytis" didn't give up and managed to reduce the deficit in the 72nd minute through Jevgenijus Gikas, soon after Senegalese player Christian Sagna restored "Sūduva's" two-goal advantage, and a few minutes later, Darius Maciulevičius secured victory for his team with a penalty kick.
These games were the last of the first round matches in the quarterfinals. The second leg matches between the teams will take place next Saturday along with the other quarterfinal matches.
