The state of Russia, after the recent totally unjustifiable events in Ukraine, still believes that it has equal rights compared to other states. This opinion was once again confirmed on Wednesday. Associated Press journalist Rob Harris reported that Russia has submitted a request to host the 2028 or 2032 European Football Championship. Earlier, on Tuesday, it was official within five minutes that the 2028 European Championship would be hosted by the United Kingdom and Ireland, but in the last minute other states joined the competition. Among them - not only Russia, but also Italy and Turkey, who submitted a separate request to host the prestigious football championship. This request from Russia surprised European football association leaders. The request, of course, should be rejected. In September 2023, the states that will host these European Championships will be confirmed.
