"Super Clasico" delayed by unlimited time surrounding Argentine football

On Sunday, the return leg of the South American football championship "Copa Libertadores" final, which was supposed to take place, seems like it will not happen next weekend.

In the final for the first time, the two biggest rivals - Buenos Aires' "Boca Juniors" and "River Plate" clubs, many expected an uncompromising battle on the pitch, but so far it has turned into one of the darkest stains in Argentine football history.

After the first match at "La Bombonera" stadium, the second leg was supposed to be played on "River Plate" territory, but on the way to the stadium, the fans of the latter team attacked the "Boca Juniors" team bus with bottles, stones, and everything that came to hand.

Finally, the South American football federation "Comnebol" was forced to cancel the planned match, as several "Boca Juniors" players were injured during the incident. The most tragic incident ended with Pablo Perez, who was hit in the eye by a shard of a broken bus window.

Although initially the tournament organizers reluctantly postponed the match by an hour and then a day, they ultimately listened to the voices of the protesting representatives of "Boca Juniors" and postponed the meeting indefinitely. It is reported that the time of the second final match will only be appointed after all the passions have calmed down and all possible options have been considered.

However, the outrage in Argentina is currently not only caused by the behavior of the "River Plate" fans, which many call one of the darkest stains in the country's football history, but also by the behavior of "Comnebol", which initially sought to hold the match as soon as possible.

Let us remind you that the first leg ended in a 2-2 draw a week ago.
