During the A group match that took place on Friday evening, the Danish national team defeated the French footballers with a score of 2:1. In the first half, neither team created many dangerous opportunities. France had a bit more initiative, but the Danes showed exemplary defense and the score remained 0:0. In the second half, the game opened up, and the French started to launch more dangerous attacks. They managed to score one in the 51st minute. Karim Benzema showed fantastic dribbling in the penalty area and beat the opponent's goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel with a low shot. However, the Danes did not falter and managed to equalize the score in the 68th minute.
