On Saturday evening in the „Premier“ league match, „Chelsea“ team strategist Graham Potter received a harsh lesson from his former team „Brighton“. The „Seagulls“ crushed their opponents from London with a score of 4:1 at home.
The hosts started the match excellently and already in the 5th minute took the lead. After a pass from Kaoru Mitoma, Leandro Trossard defeated the opponents' goalkeeper with a technical shot.
„Chelsea“ team continued to struggle. The „Blues“ sent the ball into their own net twice in the first half of the match and went into halftime with a three-goal deficit. Ruben Loftus-Cheek did it in the 14th minute, and Trevor Chalobah in the 42nd minute.
At the beginning of the second half, Graham Potter's pupils managed to score a goal. In the 48th minute, after a high pass from Conor Gallagher, Kai Havertz scored with a header.
However, all questions in this match were answered in the 90+2 minute by Pascalis Gross, who scored the fourth goal for the „Seagulls“. He was the first to reach the rebounding ball and "knocked" it into the net.
After these matches, „Chelsea“ is in fifth place in the league table, and „Brighton“ is three points behind, standing in seventh position.
