The first participants of the Women's World Cup semi-final were revealed.
After extra time, Spain defeated the Dutch footballers 2:1.
Stefanie van der Gragt earned an 11-meter penalty for own goal in the 80th minute, which was converted by Mariona Caldentey. However, the defender extended the extra time for the Dutch team.
In the 111th minute, Salma Paralluelo secured the victory and a ticket to the semi-finals for Spain.
In the other semi-final, Sweden defeated Japan, who had been unbeaten until then, 2:1.
After the first 51 minutes, Sweden led 2:0, but the Japanese attempted a comeback. However, they managed to score only one goal and ran out of time.
Sweden will face Spain in the semi-finals.
