Swedes crush Mexico, but both advance to the next stage (VIDEO)

Today, the World Cup ended with maximum drama in the F group battles, ultimately won by the national teams of Sweden and Mexico.

In the showdown between these national teams, the Swedes secured a confident victory of 3:0, but ultimately found out that the Germans had lost to South Korea, resulting in both teams triumphing - they are the ones advancing to the next stage and eliminating the German national team from the tournament.

At the beginning of the match, the Swedes had three standard situations, and after each of them, there was a danger at the opponents' goal. Marcus Berg came closest to scoring, but he failed to hit the target.

Meanwhile, the Mexicans created dangerous attacks during fast counterattacks - in the 17th minute, Carlos Vela had a chance to score, but his shot narrowly missed the opponents' goal. Just a minute later, the Swedes had an even better opportunity when a crossed ball reached Emil Forsberg in the penalty area, but his shot flew well over the crossbar.

In the 31st minute, the Swedes created another opportunity from a standard situation - after a corner, Marcus Berg tried to score again, but his shot was well saved by Guillermo Ochoa. The same Marcus Berg had another chance in added time of the first half, but in a quick counterattack, he failed to hit the opponents' goal.

The second half started very successfully for the Swedish national team. In the 50th minute, Viktor Claesson unsuccessfully tried to shoot at goal, but the ball deflected to Ludwig Augustinsson, who sent the ball into the net from close range, putting his team ahead 1:0.

Immediately after scoring the goal, the Swedes had another dangerous attack, but they lacked accuracy until the second goal.

However, the Mexicans' problems did not end there - in the 60th minute, Hector Moreno's mistake in his penalty area stopped Marcus Berg, resulting in a penalty kick for Sweden. The veteran Andreas Granqvist scored a perfect shot into the top corner of the net, solidifying his team's lead.

Although the Mexicans tried to return to the game later, another bizarre goal fell into their net. This time, Mexican defender Edson Omar Alvarez Velazquez missed the ball, and with his other foot, he unintentionally kicked it into the net, making the score an embarrassing 0:3.

The Mexicans could not manage to score a goal, and their supporters and substitutes bench were already looking ahead to the next match, where they needed Germany to lose points. Their celebration was cut short by the news that South Korea scored a goal. However, their joy soon turned into despair when they found out that a VAR review was taking place. However, just half a minute later, they triumphed - the goal was counted, and even the deflated Mexico advanced to the next stage along with the Swedes.
