Switzerland - Croatia: match review © EuroFootball.com

Today two matches will be played in the Euro 2004 championship. One of them will feature the underdogs from Group B - the footballers from Croatia and Switzerland. However, as shown in yesterday's matches, neither team can be underestimated.

In these matches, the Croatians are considered favorites, as they have assembled a truly strong team this year. The Croatian national team is well-balanced. Their main pillars should be Dado Pršo and Boris Živkovič. Unfortunately, during Thursday's training session, the main goalkeeper of the team, Stipe Pletikoša, suffered an injury and will have to miss the European championship.

Switzerland is considered one of the outsiders of the tournament along with Latvia, but they managed to secure the first place in the tenth qualifying group with their fighting spirit, so they should not be counted out either. Like the Croatians, the Swiss also have several losses. Switzerland will be without four players: Fabrice Borres, Marco Streller, Leonard Thurre, and Johann Lonfat. The referee for this match will be Portuguese L. Batista.

Predicted lineups: Switzerland (4-3-3): Stiel; Haas, M. Yakin, Müller, Spycher; Huggel, Vogel, Wicky; H. Yakin, Frei, Chapuisat.

Croatia (4-4-2): Butina; Šimic, R. Kovac, Šimunic, Živkovic; Mornar, N. Kovac, Bjelica, Olic; Pršo, Šokota.
