Chelsea defender Tiemoue Bakayoko believes that after a fantastic performance in the World Cup, Kylian Mbappe is already the best football player in the world.
The 19-year-old talent was chosen as the best young player of the tournament and contributed to France's victory over Croatia in the final with a precise shot.
Paris Saint-Germain's forward also became the first player under 20 to score in a World Cup final since the legendary Pele.
"I am not surprised. He is very young, but also very mature," Bakayoko told Goal.com.
"He is a very intelligent player and I think, based on his qualities, he is the best football player in the world."
"Don't forget, he is very young, and it is not easy to compete against older players and demonstrate such speed on the field."
Mbappe scored four goals in total during the World Cup.
