T. Deeney: "I am more deserving to be in the England national team than Welbeck"

Excellent start to the season for "Watford" club striker Troy Deeney has criticized England national team manager Gareth Southgate for not inviting him to the national team. The striker said: "I respect this manager, but I will not deny that I am not happy with his choice. I am one of those who believe that everything needs to be earned, and I do not think that four matches were enough for the manager to decide whether I deserve to be in the national team."

The player was not satisfied with Danny Welbeck's invitation to the national team: "If you look at me, Danny Ings, Callum Wilson, Glenn Murray, we all can think, what do we need to do to get into the national team? I have nothing against Danny Welbeck, but he hardly plays in the club, yet he is still called up to the national team."

Troy Deeney scored 2 goals in 5 matches this season, while his team "Watford" is in 4th place after 5 rounds. Meanwhile, Danny Welbeck has played only 34 minutes and scored one goal this season, while "Arsenal" is in 7th place.
