Attacker Olivier Giroud almost throughout his career at London's "Arsenal" has received ambiguous opinions.
Now, according to "Gunners" legend Thierry Henry, he is suitable for a new role that could bring the team the "Premier" league title.
That's exactly what the Frenchman demonstrated this weekend when he came off the bench against "Sunderland" with the score at 1-1 and scored a brace with his first two touches.
“Yes, he can be a plan B, but I don’t know if he will be happy coming off the bench. However, I think titles are won in this way,” Henry told Sky Sports.
“Manchester United had Solskjaer and Sheringham, Džeko was important for Man City, and we had Sylvain Wiltord. So, can he accept this role?”
“We know the manager, Arsene Wenger, now prefers to play with Sanchez up front, who does the job very well.”
“Giroud is wonderful in the air and that gives another option. (Great - ed.), if you have Sanchez in the middle, and him coming off the bench occasionally, maybe starting sometimes, when Sanchez goes out wide. Sanchez can also move around him, but it would be more difficult, as at the same time Mesut Ozil is playing.”
“I think there are different options, but for the coach, this is great.”
