Germany's national team coach Joachim Low decided to give rest to Marco Reus and Toni Kroos.
Both footballers will not play in the friendly match against Russia on Thursday.
The representative of Borussia Dortmund easily injured his leg during training, while the Real Madrid midfielder was given additional rest.
The Nations League match against the Dutch will be much more important for the Germans, as they will try to regain their lost reputation and avoid dropping out of Division 1 group.
"The match against the French will be a turning point for the upcoming months.
Of course, the result against the Russians will not be very important.
We made a mistake by taking the Nations League tournament too seriously, however, dropping out of the group would not be the end of the world.
If we fall, we will have to accept it and prepare for the European Championship qualifiers," said German coach J. Low.
