Madrid's "Real" midfielder Toni Kroos revealed that one of the main reasons he decided to leave Munich's "Bayern" and move to the Spanish capital was coach Carlo Ancelotti.
The German didn't get along well with the new Bavarian strategist Pep Guardiola, but he made it clear that he didn't experience such problems at the "royal" club.
"Ancelotti - also one of the reasons I moved here. I think it's normal to talk to the coach before taking an important step," Kroos told the official UEFA website.
"He made a positive impression on me and said that 'Real' will be even stronger with me. It was a really good conversation."
"The coach trusted me from the start in a position where I hadn't played much before. I enjoy this role."
"Our relationship is good. We communicate a lot during each match. We discuss how I should approach different games depending on the opponent. I don't know all the teams well yet, so it's natural. He tries to fill the gaps."
Kroos ended the season with "Real" with 39 appearances and one goal in the midfield.
