One of the most important players of Madrid's "Real" team, Toni Kroos, gave an interview to the German media and delighted the "white" fans by saying that he would never leave "Real" for the "Barcelona" club.
The 26-year-old midfielder, currently recovering from an injury, recently tied his future with "Real" until 2022. T. Kroos claims that he would not follow the example of Michael Laudrup, Luis Enrique, or Luis Figo and move to the biggest competitor's team.
"I don't think I could move to Barcelona," T. Kroos told "Kicker" journalists. "There are certain transfers that simply cannot happen. It's about respect, traditions, and, of course, the fans."
T. Kroos also stated that he does not promise to have a long professional football career. The German wants to play for "Real" until 2022 and finish his career there at the age of 32. According to him, these are the best years of his career.
"My contract will end when I turn 32. I don't think I will play until I'm 38. In my opinion, by the age of 32, you must show your best form and have the best physical condition. I think it's the best time to stop, but it's not my final decision yet.
Speaking about Real, the last two and a half years here have been great both in sporting and personal terms," concluded the German.
