Germany's national team midfielder Toni Kroos, in an interview with his country's football federation, once again explained his decision to leave Bayern Munich and emphasized the excellent relationship with current Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane.
Let's remind that the 27-year-old footballer arrived in Madrid for just 25 million euros in 2014 and is now one of the team's key figures.
T. Kroos plays in almost every match and has not missed any important games, including two UEFA Champions League finals.
"My decision to leave was the right one," T. Kroos told the DFB website. "When you move to another foreign team, there is no doubt that it will help your growth as a player."
"Before leaving, I was seen as a good footballer. But there were many like me at Bayern, and everything changed here in Madrid - you get more attention.
From the very beginning, Zidane showed confidence in me. Over the two years I've been working with him, he trusted me in almost every match, especially in important ones. He trusts me, and I do everything for the team. It's very important to have trust in each other - it's the most important thing in football," added T. Kroos.
T. Kroos has already played more than 150 matches for Real Madrid and won eight titles.
