According to Tautvydas Meškonis' opinion commenting on the priorities of the planet, other favorites, unlike Germany, should also justify their fans' expectations.
"Many said that Belgium or Portugal could surprise, but I always said that out of those horses, the darkest and most serious one is exactly the Croatian national team," - T. Meškonis, not hiding his sympathies for the Croatian team, said.
"Do you comment on the World Cup matches, what impression does both the tournament and the national teams' game leave?" - lrytas.lt asked T. Meškonis.
"The impression is not bad. Perhaps the leaders are a bit disappointing, but overall I like the championship. Perhaps the game and its quality are not always impressive, but I like weaker teams giving a hard time to the favorites."
"Does the VAR system add interest to the championship?"
"I am in favor of the opinion that criticizes the VAR system for its imperfections, but I think that the system brings more benefits than drawbacks. Discussions about the VAR system add more intrigue to the championship."
"Who do you think can triumph in this year's World Cup in your eyes?"
"Despite the leaders' difficult start, I think Brazil remains one of the brightest favorites. The French will show their true faces in the matches against Argentina. At the moment, I sympathize the most with the games of the Brazilian and French national teams, but I do not exclude the Spanish version either. However, if I had to choose one national team, it would be Brazil."
