Thomas Meunier believes that his teammate in the Belgian national team, Kevin De Bruyne, is one of the best midfielders in the world.
"Manchester City" star was just a hair away from winning the award for the best player in the Premier League, but throughout the season he was a crucial part of the champion team.
His importance to any team is understood by the defender of "Paris Saint-Germain."
"Definitely," Goal.com asked if De Bruyne is considered one of the best midfielders in the world, Meunier answered. He is a very intelligent footballer, capable of playing with both feet. He is very versatile and has exceptional physical preparation.
"He makes many productive passes. He is the type of player who can change the course of a match, as we saw in the Champions League.
"He is constantly improving. I have known him since his time at "Genk". Then he went to Germany, and then... he never stopped. He is consistent and, in my opinion, he deserves the status of a Premier League star."
De Bruyne will be one of the key players for the Belgian national team, which, according to Meunier, can reach the semi-finals of the World Cup, being one of the leaders. Last season with "Man City" he scored a total of 12 goals and made 21 assists.
