During the winter, Takumi Minamino, who joined the team at Liverpool, admits that he has not yet had the opportunity to shine within the Liverpool team.
During more than two months, T. Minamino played a total of eleven matches. In the Premier League, he spent just 77 minutes on the field.
T. Minamino believes that playing time is not the only problem - he himself needs to make better use of those minutes.
"I am happy with how the last three months have gone. Of course, I would like to contribute more to the goals - I am eager for that. There is still a lot I don't know about this club.
I feel that every day I understand Klopp's philosophy better. I know I have to show results. This is very important in order to earn the trust of the players and fans.
I have been at the club for three months and I definitely have not played as many matches and minutes as I would like, but that is certainly not an excuse. I had minimal opportunities to show myself, but as soon as the coach needs my services, I have to be ready to show the result that is expected of me," said the attacking midfielder.
Liverpool paid 8.5 million euros for the 24-year-old Japanese player.
