T. Motta: "Such defeats hurt a lot"

Turin's "Juventus" unexpectedly ended their UEFA Champions League campaign on Wednesday.

The Italian club lost 1:3 to PSV in the away leg of the knockout stage and lost the series with an aggregate score of 3:4.

After the defeat, Juventus coach Thiago Motta stated that PSV deserved the victory and a place in the next stage.

"We tried to be better than our opponents, but we could not maintain stability throughout the match. PSV deserved the win and a spot in the next round.

We need to continue working hard. Such defeats are very painful,” T. Motta said at the press conference.
