Thomas Muller described the work of the referee in the unsuccessful UEFA Champions League semi-final as good, and Munich's "Bayern" was eliminated only because the players wasted opportunities.
Yesterday at the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium, "Real" resisted against "Bayern" and with a total score of 4-3 advanced to the final. There was one episode in the match when Marcelo touched the ball with his hand in the penalty area, but the referee did not dare to award a penalty kick.
"The referee had a good game. We really cannot say that we lost because of him. They were saved by the incredibly performing Navas," said T. Muller after the match.
"We didn't convert great opportunities, but we have to admit that luck was also not on our side.
"We have a lot of high-class players in the squad, so we have to ask ourselves why we made so many mistakes in the Champions League semi-final," added the German.
