Thomas Muller did not hide his joy at Carlo Ancelotti's place in the ranks of Munich's "Bayern" being taken over by Jupp Heynckes.
The Italian lost his job after a defeat in the UEFA Champions League against "Paris Saint-Germain", and the forward was one of those who definitely did not support this coach.
Bavarian president Uli Hoeness previously admitted that Ancelotti had lost the support of even five key team members. After some time, Muller criticized the coach's training methods.
"And we will have good training sessions again," Muller told Welt.
"Heynckes is the right person because he can inspire the team to endure more, be more dedicated, and better organize defensively."
"Heynckes will work with interest and passion. We need to 'tighten a few screws'. The team must fulfill some of its obligations."
The German champions are currently five points behind "Borussia Dortmund" in the national championship.
