"Paris Saint-Germain" captain Thiago Silva believes that his team on paper is the strongest in all of Europe.
Last season, the team from the French capital won four trophies in their country, but in the UEFA Champions League they only reached the quarterfinals. At this stage, PSG has fallen for the third year in a row.
Nevertheless, the Brazilian national team central defender believes that Laurent Blanc's players have become even stronger this season.
"If you look at European clubs, on paper PSG appears to be the strongest, " Silva told L'Equipe.
"We are one of the top teams. In my eyes, the best is "Barcelona", followed by "Bayern" Munich and "Real" Madrid, and then "Manchester City", "Chelsea" and us."
"I think this team is excellent. It is the best team I have ever played in, there is a lot of talent here."
"Recently, I realized that I still have dreams that I have not fulfilled. I want to leave PSG one day having won the Champions League. That is my biggest wish."
The Brazilian added that this year the goal for Parisians is finally reaching the semifinals of the strongest tournament in the Old Continent, and later PSG will focus on the final.
