Chelsea captain Thiago Silva mentioned a possible end to his career in the near future.

At the moment, the Brazilian is 39 years old, and his contract with the "aristocrats" team is valid until the summer of next year.

Despite his age, this defender is still one of the key players for the "Blues", who has been playing in London since 2020.

T. Silva spoke about his future to the portal "Sky Italia":

"The end of my career is getting closer and it's not a simple thing. I have to decide what to do next: hang up my boots, or if I still want to play, where I would have to move, as I have two children who play in the Chelsea youth academy."

"At the moment, I am just taking the opportunity to play football and give my all during the last year of my contract with the 'aristocrats'. However, I want to say that I am very happy and proud of the career I have had and what I am doing now at the age of 39."

"Football is my passion, so the fact that even after my career ends I will work in something related to football, I just don't know in which area yet," said the Brazilian.
