Thiago Silva will remain in the ranks of London's "Chelsea" next season, but most likely he played his last Champions League match yesterday.
The 38-year-old Brazilian was very open after the painful defeat.
"These were probably my last Champions League matches. It hurts to say that," said the center-back.
Meanwhile, Silva commented on Chelsea's own problems as follows: "We can't blame the coaches if we don't take responsibility ourselves.
This is a difficult moment for the Chelsea club, many changes, we have many good players, but not all are satisfied. Chelsea needs a clear strategy to prevent the mistakes of this season from happening again."
During his career in the Champions League, the Brazilian played 105 matches, scored 4 goals, and made 1 assist. In 2021, he won his only Champions League trophy with Chelsea.
