Despite the impressive fans' show in the stands, Warsaw's "Legia" team failed to resist Dortmund's "Borussia" club.
The Bundesliga giants dominated in the Polish capital and scored the first three points in Group F of the Champions League.
Cutting down the opponents 6:0, Thomas Tuchel's players started a goal feast in the beginning of the first half, scoring three times against Arkadiusz Milik in 17 minutes.
"Maybe it seemed like everything was happening very easily, but we had to put in a lot of effort.
"Legia" was knocked out by the fact that my players played very effectively in the first 25 minutes. We scored goals that gave us confidence in our abilities for the remaining part of the match," Tuchel said.
"Is Dortmund so strong or is "Legia" so weak? I don't want to philosophize and say everything like that. We were simply the better team and created more chances to score."
The result 6:0 shows that we put in a lot of effort and will try to continue it in the future.
