Theo Walcott is delighted to finally have returned to the pitch after a year-long break from the start of the matches. After London's "Arsenal" victory in the FA Cup against "Hull City", the Englishman admitted that it is "nice to score goals".
The "Gunners" defeated the same opponents in the final in May and celebrated their first trophy in nine years, but Walcott was recovering from a knee ligament injury suffered in winter.
In yesterday's match, the forward missed several chances, but was happy to play for 75 minutes before giving way to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
"It's unbelievable," he told BBC. "A whole year has passed. It's great to start playing again. It's nice to score goals."
"I had plenty of chances, but everything will come in time. I don't put pressure on myself. I'm happy to even get such opportunities."
Walcott also mentioned that these years of returning to optimal physical form were difficult both physically and psychologically.
"I think it's psychologically difficult for one to sit in the treatment room while your teammates are training for the World Cup," added the Englishman.
