Leverkusen "Bayer" talent Julian Brandt has extended his contract with the club until the summer of 2021.
The forward is already attracting interest from giants like Munich's "Bayern" and "Liverpool", so his retention by the "Bundesliga" team is a great achievement.
Under the previous contract, the 21-year-old footballer would have only remained in the ranks of "Bayer" for a little over a season and club officials were particularly worried about a similar outcome to that of Leon Goretzka, who will be released by "Schalke" to "Bayern" for free.
"I feel completely comfortable and I see something really big growing here," Brandt told his team's official website.
"It was recently shown to me when Jonathan Tah and Lars Bender extended their contracts.
"Both of them, like me, are convinced that they can achieve something with this team."
Because he did not fall for the offers of much wealthier clubs, Brandt was praised by sports director Rudi Voller.
The 21-year-old German scored nine goals and provided six assists in a total of 32 matches this season.
