On Wednesday, four matches of the 34th round of the Spanish La Liga championship were played.
The first clash took place at the Camp Nou stadium, where after winning the "El Clasico" match Barcelona hosted Osasuna from Pamplona. Luis Enrique's team had no trouble with the league's bottom team - they won 7-1.
Barcelona took the initiative from the beginning of the match - Lionel Messi scored in the 12th minute to put the hosts ahead. Andre Gomes extended the lead to two goals in the 30th minute.
At the start of the second half, Osasuna scored a goal to briefly restore some intrigue, but then Barcelona turned on the higher gear and started to dominate the opponent.
In the 56th and 61st minutes, Andre Gomes and Lionel Messi scored their second goals. Later, Paco Alcacer and Javier Mascherano, who scored from the penalty spot, added two more goals. It was Mascherano's first goal representing Barca.
In other matches, Real Madrid, playing with their second team, achieved a convincing victory against Deportivo La Coruna with a score of 6-2. Zinedine Zidane's players handled the opponent well.
In the 1st minute, Alvaro Morata put the visitors ahead, and James Rodriguez increased the lead in the 14th minute. Florin Andone scored for Deportivo in the 35th minute, but Lucas Vazquez restored the two-goal lead at the end of the first half.
In the second half, J. Rodriguez, Isco, and Casemiro added more goals to the Real Madrid team. Joselu scored a consolation goal for the opponents in the 84th minute.
Barcelona and Real Madrid both have 78 points and continue to fight for the championship title.
In other matches, Real Sociedad and Leganes also celebrated victories.
