This summer's European Football Championship teams will be able to have more players in their squad than usual. UEFA officially announced on Tuesday that in this summer's championship teams will be able to rely on 26 players instead of the usual 23. The squad lists must be confirmed by June 1, but if one or more players face serious health problems, including possible COVID-19 infection, before the start of the championship, substitutions in the squad will be allowed. Furthermore, before each match, teams will be able to change the goalkeepers in the squad due to health problems. However, a goalkeeper removed from the lineup will not be able to return to the team later.
